Village Walkabout on Saturday 1st March
The planned visit around the village to see the "identified views" which was postponed in December due to the appalling weather has now been rescheduled and will take place on Saturday 1st March 2025. The meeting point is by the well in front of The Dabbling Duck. The walk will take around 2 hours and will visit the various locations around the village which have been deemed to be "noteworthy" and it is proposed that they are given "special status" within the Neighbourhood Development Plan. Community conversation events for 7th and 17th December postponed until January
Due to the wet and windy weather, the planned visit around the village to see the "identified views" on Saturday 7th December has been postponed. As a result, the follow up meeting scheduled for 17th December to discuss the greenspaces and views has also been postponed. Many thanks to those of you who attended the community conversation event on 19th October. A small but very engaged group of local residents received an update on where the Steering Group have got to and gave their feedback on progress and priorities. NDP Steering Group Annual Report Now Available
The Chair of the NDP Steering Group (Jess Cunningham) presented the annual report to the Parish Council on 13th May 2024. Whilst we have been quiet over the last few months, the Steering Group have been busy considering the results of the consultation activities and how these relate to the existing and emerging local plan. May Public Consultation Event a success!
Thank you to all who attended the Public Consultation Event in May. 121 people signed in and subscriptions to our e-mail newsletter doubled to almost 80. We were impressed by the close inspection people gave to the materials displayed and the numerous feedback sheets completed. These sought opinions on such matters as future housing needs, climate change and the green spaces we should protect. We're currently analysing responses and the outcome will be posted shortly. Public Consultation Date Confirmed- 19th & 20th May
To ensure you are up to date on the progress made so far and give you an opportunity to comment there will be a two-day drop-in public consultation event in the Village Hall on Friday 19th May and Saturday 20th May from 11 am to 9 pm. Various displays will summarise results from last year's opinion survey, provide up-to-date statistics about housing, population trends, notable village features and more.
