Community Conversation on ‘Renewable Energy’: Monday 2nd March 2026, 6pm in the Village Hall

The NDP Steering Group is preparing policies that best reflect the wishes and future needs of residents as voiced in surveys, consultations and questionnaires conducted over the past four years. One such policy concerns the generation and storage of green energy. At the May 2023 Consultation Event, substantial support was shown by residents for solar panel and /or wind turbine installations that would benefit local people in some way. Future meeting dates & ‘Community Conversation’ on Climate Change and Green Energy

The December 2025 Steering Group Meeting will now take place at 6 pm on Monday 8th December not on Monday 1st December as previously announced. A further meeting is arranged for 2nd February 2026. Residents are welcome to attend these meetings which will be held in the main Village Hall not the bar area as in the past. Potential Changes to the Development Boundary : Complete the questionnaire to have your say

A 'Community Conversation' was held on Monday 6th October 2025 to discuss changing the existing Development Boundary in ways that could promote  small-scale infill housing. You can see detailed information on this issue and consult helpful maps by following the link here. Monday 6th October – Have your say on the Development Boundary

Please come along to the ‘Community Conversation’ in the Village Hall on 6th October at 6.00pm to discuss possible changes to the existing Development Boundary with a view to increasing opportunities for infill house building. A development boundary is a line/lines on a village map which reflect its built form and is used to aid planning decisions. In general, there is a presumption in favour of development within the boundary compared to outside, thereby helping to protect the surrounding countryside. Village Walkabout on Saturday 1st March

The planned visit around the village to see the "identified views" which was postponed in December due to the appalling weather has now been rescheduled and will take place on Saturday 1st March 2025. The meeting point is by the well in front of The Dabbling Duck. The walk will take around 2 hours and will visit the various locations around the village which have been deemed to be "noteworthy" and it is proposed that they are given "special status" within the Neighbourhood Development Plan.
