Community Conversation on ‘Renewable Energy’: Monday 2nd March 2026, 6pm in the Village Hall

The NDP Steering Group is preparing policies that best reflect the wishes and future needs of residents as voiced in surveys, consultations and questionnaires conducted over the past four years. One such policy concerns the generation and storage of green energy. At the May 2023 Consultation Event, substantial support was shown by residents for solar panel and /or wind turbine installations that would benefit local people in some way. Accordingly, an interactive 'Community Conversation' on this topic will be held on Monday 2nd March 2026, at 6 pm in the Village Hall, Great Massingham. Residents are encouraged to attend and discuss the opportunities for harnessing the current trend towards renewable energy generation and storage in ways that will benefit the parish and help slow climate change. This event will help shape a policy on renewable energy schemes to be included in the emerging Neighbourhood Development Plan.

In association with this event, informative slides and a questionnaire asking for residents' views will be posted on the NDP website https://www.greatmassinghamndp.co.uk/surveys-consultations/ before the meeting and will remain available until the end of March. All residents are encouraged to complete and return this questionnaire.
